Expression of Interest - Education Materials Development to Accompany the National Player Health Check Programme
The LGFA, WGPA and Camogie Association are seeking expressions of interest for the development of educational tools in the form of educational videos and infographics to accompany the roll out of the national player health check programme.
The intercounty Ladies Gaelic Football and Camogie Government Grant Support Scheme was launched in January 2017. The purpose of the Scheme is to provide funding to support an enhanced playing and training environment for intercounty camogie players and ladies’ footballers. A Scheme Implementation Group (SIG), comprised of an independent chairperson, scheme administrator and two representatives each from the Ladies Gaelic Football Association, the Camogie Association and the Women’s Gaelic Players Association, oversee the implementation of the Support Scheme.
A part of this scheme, a player health check programme, is being rolled out nationally in 2019 and 2020. The national player health check programme, aims to identify and inform players about their general health and performance related issues. Supplementary to the information contained in each players’ private medical report, the Scheme Implementation Group (SIG) now wishes to develop and deliver a range of multi-media education materials to provide guidance to county boards, players and managers in relation to the identified issues and areas of concern following the pilot roll out of the programme. This will include information about the common health & medical issues which may be identified during the health checks and any interventions which can be subsequently implemented e.g. through lifestyle and dietary changes. The education resources will also be a useful tool for the wider LGFA and Camogie player population delivering a positive health promotion message.
- The first educational video will be required by end of January 2020 with all completed by end of February 2020.
Each provider is asked to submit a short expression of interest (no more that 3 pages) outlining:
- How your company could implement the brief as detailed above to include all educational materials
- How you would work to the budget of maximum €16,000 (inc. VAT)
- How you would deliver the project within the agreed timescale

Expressions of interest submissions should be sent to
Closing date 11th December 2019 at 5pm. Applications will not be accepted or considered after this date and time.
